My girlfriend and I have been thinking about getting a house snake but don't know much about the temperament of this species. Anyone out there have any experience with them? I have read that they are pretty easy to care for but other than that nothing much on how well they tame down.

Does anyoen here keep red mountain/bamboo rat snakes (Elaphe porphyracea vaillanti) I was wondering if any had any experience with this asian species. What i want to know is are they hard to keep and do they breed easily in captivity?
