Here at NERD we aren’t known for doing many boa projects beyond our Emerald Tree Boas and our Amazon Basins. Recently we happened upon some really exciting stuff and are brewing some crazy projects behind the scenes that we are hoping to share in the near future! We are excited to start working on all sorts of beautiful projects and combinations that will be available in the near future. Keep an eye out for the phenomenal stuff we have in store!

Pet Owners

For Pet Owners, there are many species of boa available in the pet trade and industry. Since it is such broad category of animals for pet owners we definitely suggest doing your research and making sure the boa you’re looking to get is the right one for you! If we are looking petwise Sand Boas would be a great choice for someone looking for a boa that isn’t going to get massive but is fun to work with and look at. We definitely think that there are a great portion of boas available on today’s market that would make great pets, just make sure to look into the one you’re getting!

For Enthusiasts, again with boas being such a broad species and with many available on the market for enthusiasts it comes down to space and species. Whichever boa you’re looking at making sure you’re providing it with the proper housing and care as all boas are different which is what makes them such a fun animal to get into! There are tons of amazing genetic combinations, localities, and species out there in the industry so there is definitely something for everyone who has a passion for working with boas! They’re great if you’re looking to have one or many and depending on the species range from being super easy to work with the needing a lot of hard work and care. Since they’re all over the spectrum the choice is in the hands to the keeper!

For Breeders, if you’re looking to breed boas be in Amazon Tree Boas, locality boas, sand boas, or even Northern Emeralds the possibilities are endless. Not all species require a ton of space or intense care while others like the challenge of some of those large localities and arboreal species that require really intricate care. One thing that they do have in common those is that they’re live bearers! Instead of desperately waiting for those eggs to hatch you get to impatiently wait for mom to cycle to see those live babies pushed out one by one! Boas are amazing to work with and great for breeders who are up to the challenge!
